Expresses his Condolences and Solidarity: Responding to the Ibadan Explosion.
In his letter sent to ABIS PRESS on Thursday, 18th of January, 2024.
He said "his heart go out to the residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, in the wake of the recent explosion.
He implores the Ibadan community to foster the spirit of togetherness.He wrote, "in times of adversity, it is crucial that we come together as a community to offer support and comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult period".
However, he encourages individuals and community to immediate and always reporting any security concern to the appropriate authority.
Moreso, he writes a message to the government to express his concern regarding the growing issue of illegal immigration, illegal mining and inadequate security in our community which the recent incidents highlight the need for immediate attention and decisive action to address these pressing challenges.
Message to the Government:
I implore the government to intensify efforts in monitoring and controlling illegal immigration and Mining. Strengthening border security, enhancing immigration policies, illegal mining consequences and collaborating with relevant authorities are crucial steps in mitigating the impact of these issues on our community.
Warning to Illegal Miners:
To those engaging in illegal immigration and mining activities, I want to emphasize the importance of adhering to legal processes. Our nation welcomes those who seek better opportunities, but it is imperative to do so through lawful channels. Engaging in illegal activities not only jeopardizes personal safety but also undermines the stability and security of our community.
I will encourage the government to implement stringent measures against those found in violation of immigration laws and illegal mining. By doing so, we can safeguard our borders, protect our community's interests, and ensure a safer and more prosperous environment for all residents.
Thank you for your attention to these matters, and I trust in the government's commitment to addressing these issues promptly and effectively.
